- Hardfiles are slow! You should really use an Amiga partition or a SCSI drive
- for Emplant. Just use hardfiles for testing stuff, or maybe for backup...
- Anyways, something that will help you right now is to increase the buffers on
- the hard drive partition that the hardfile is on. Example: if you have a 80mb
- hardfile on drive DH1: then use "addbuffers DH1: 800" to add 800 buffers to
- this drive (800 buffers is 400K). You will need to add a lot of buffers (in
- the 800-1000 range) to see an improvement.
